Minor negatives: need to bend ends of cut ribs so they lie flat; light weight shade fabric may tend to bow when shade is fully closed if ribs aren't completely flat since ribs are not as rigid as round ribs; challenging to cut (I got best results using chisel and hammer).
I will use these again.
