Benefits over round ribs: price, easy to install in pockets, easy to iron shade with ribs installed; unbreakable. Minor negatives: need to bend ends of cut ribs so they lie flat; light weight shade fabric may tend to bow when shade is fully closed if ribs aren't completely flat since ribs are not as rigid as round ribs; challenging to cut (I got best results using chisel and hammer). I will use these again. |

| All I could find for Roman Shade ribs was round and plastic. And even though they were not very sturdy and would show, they were spendy. But with an internet search, I found these for the same price or less, yet MUCH HIGHER QUALITY. I can tell they will weight the shade so it will lift and hang nicely. Since the roll is so large, I decided to do all of my windows (16 total). It would be nice if it was offered in smaller lengths in case I run out toward the end. | ||||
